What configurations are available for the Crystal Super?

Currently only 50 PPD QLED and 57 PPD QLED offering resolutions up to 3840×3840 per eye (Micro‑OLED: 3840×3552)

What is the field-of-view (FOV) for each version?

50 PPD QLED: 135°

57 PPD QLED: 120°

Ultrawide QLED: 140°

Micro-OLED: 103–105°

Which refresh rates are supported?

All QLED versions support 72 Hz and 90 Hz. The Micro-OLED supports up to 90 Hz

Does the headset feature automatic IPD adjustment?

Yes, all models offer motorised IPD adjustment between 58–72 mm

Is the Crystal Super compatible with Lighthouse (SteamVR) tracking?

Yes. Inside-out tracking is standard, and an optional Lighthouse faceplate is available for base-station tracking

Will the Lighthouse faceplate fit older Crystal models?

No. Due to its redesigned chassis, Crystal Super requires a new, dedicated Lighthouse faceplate

Does it support local dimming and HDR?

QLED versions use MiniLED local dimming for better contrast, but they are 8-bit and do not support HDR

Is foveated rendering available?

Yes – all configurations include Dynamic Foveated Rendering 2.0 with integrated eye tracking

What audio options are included?

Includes dual microphones and an interchangeable 3.5 mm audio jack. Pre-orders before June 30 also include free DMAS headphones

If I pre-ordered a different version, can I change it?

Absolutely – contact support to switch between 50 PPD and 57 PPD QLED before shipping. No price difference

Does it support wireless or 60 GHz Airlink?

No – Crystal Super is a PC VR tethered headset and does not support WiGig or Airlink

What is the expected shipping timeline?

According to Pimax:

57 PPD QLED started shipping January 2025

50 PPD QLED in March 2025

Micro-OLED planned for April 2025

How do warranty claims or replacements work?

Covered under warranty: defective units are replaced at no cost, including return shipping .
